Acritas Wines is the vision of two frontier-born Greeks - true Akrites - crafting heroic wines from the steep terraced slopes of Samos. Working with old Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains vineyards, guided by regenerative organic farming and respect for biodiversity, Konstantinos Tellis and Stella Papadimitriou bring decades of experience from Santorini, the Cyclades, and international harvests to create wines that capture the rugged beauty, authenticity, and singular character of this remarkable island terroir.

The White Muscat is a pure expression of Samos, sourced from four vineyard parcels on the northern slopes of Mount Ampelos, between Vourliotes and Stavrinides, at elevations of 480-700 metres.

As the very first bottling from Acritas Wines, and with only 2,100 bottles produced, this is a genuinely rare find. Fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel to preserve purity and precision, it opens with delicate white blossom, citrus and stone fruit aromas. Vibrant freshness defines the palate, giving this Muscat an elegant, lifted profile that feels utterly Aegean - best enjoyed with grilled fish or fried kalamari finished with a squeeze of lemon.

Acritas Wines is the vision of two frontier-born Greeks - true Akrites - united by a passion for heroic viticulture and the dramatic terroir of Samos. Their focus is the island’s mountainous vineyards, steep terraced slopes, and its emblematic Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, with vines reaching up to 60 years of age.

Guided by the principles of regenerative organic farming and deep respect for biodiversity, the project is rooted in preserving the island’s unique ecosystem while expressing the purity of this singular terroir.

Viticulturist Konstantinos Tellis, raised in mountainous Konitsa, brings a lifetime connection to the land, shaped by Agronomy studies and a decade working among Santorini’s demanding vineyards. His experience across the Cyclades gave him a deep understanding of island viticulture’s challenges and rewards, ultimately drawing him to Samos, where mountain and sea create a singular sense of place.

Winemaker Stella Papadimitriou grew up where vine and wine were woven into everyday life. With studies in Agronomy and a Master’s in Oenology, plus harvest experience in New Zealand and Australia, she spent ten years mastering Assyrtiko in Santorini’s volcanic extremes. Alongside this, she nurtured a profound connection with White Muscat, approaching it with precision and sensitivity.

Together, Acritas captures the spirit of place, translating rugged landscapes, tradition, and modern expertise into wines of authenticity and character.
