Acritas Wines is the vision of two frontier-born Greeks - true Akrites - crafting heroic wines from the steep terraced slopes of Samos. Working with old Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains vineyards, guided by regenerative organic farming and respect for biodiversity, Konstantinos Tellis and Stella Papadimitriou bring decades of experience from Santorini, the Cyclades, and international harvests to create wines that capture the rugged beauty, authenticity, and singular character of this remarkable island terroir.
The White Muscat is a pure expression of Samos, sourced from four vineyard parcels on the northern slopes of Mount Ampelos, between Vourliotes and Stavrinides, at elevations of 480-700 metres.
As the very first bottling from Acritas Wines, and with only 2,100 bottles produced, this is a genuinely rare find. Fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel to preserve purity and precision, it opens with delicate white blossom, citrus and stone fruit aromas. Six months on lees adds creaminess and texture. Vibrant freshness and salinity defines the palate, giving this Muscat a mineral, lifted profile that feels utterly Aegean - best enjoyed with grilled fish or fried kalamari finished with a squeeze of lemon.
